About Me

Hey everyone, my name is Laura, I am currently a student at University of Greenwich and I am studying Psychology with Counselling, 'which I love because I enjoy learning about the mind and how it works. I am currently still living at home, in Dartford so it isn’t exactly far too come.

I never knew I wanted to go to university; it had never been in my future or goals to go. However due to some amazing teachers in my sixth form who encouraged me and believed I was good enough, I ended up making an application. I still never believed I would get in as the tariff points for my course were quite high. But a few months later whilst I was in Disneyland (of all places), I got a phone call from a very excited Nan who told me I had got in. I was shocked, excited and scared all at the same time.

Looking back now, I still can’t believe I’m here. I have made friends that I already know will be in my life forever. Coming to this uni was the best thing that ever happened to me and I wouldn’t have it any other way!!

I’m a firm believer in the saying ‘sunshine always follows rain’, after a rocky to start to my year in 2011, coming to this university was what got me back on my feet again, I love it here and hope you guys do too J
